This unique Chinese learning book was created through the collaborative efforts of dedicated educators, writers, illustrators, and designers. More than a language resource, it helps children develop Chinese literacy while nurturing kindness, wisdom, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of God’s love.

Through engaging stories, meaningful conversations, and thoughtfully designed radical exercises, children build vocabulary and character side by side. Rather than providing a literal translation, the English text faithfully captures the heart, beauty, and poetic spirit of the original Chinese, making it accessible to bilingual families and learners.

Reviews

"A warm, value-rich addition to our daily curriculum!"

“Finding Chinese reading materials that align with our family’s core values used to be a challenge. Creative Chinese Reading is a breath of fresh air. What stood out to me immediately is how gracefully it weaves character building, gratitude, and Heavenly Father’s love into simple, beautiful lessons.

Rather than dry vocabulary drills, my child and I get to reflect together on gentle themes like ‘A Heart Filled with Love’ and ‘Peaceful Night.’ The English translations are expressive and capture the true heart of each lesson without feeling like a robotic, word-for-word translation. It has turned our language time into a peaceful, bonding routine!”

Sarah L., Parent teaching heritage Chinese at home
"Pedagogically sound and brilliantly structured for character recognition!"

“As an educator, I am thrilled with the design of this book—especially the Radical Exercises (部首練習) section. Grouping characters sharing the same radicals into short, catchy rhymes is a game-changer for early literacy and retention.

The thematic progression—from home and morning routines to classroom settings—fits young learners’ daily experiences perfectly, providing immediate context for new vocabulary. The rhythmic flow keeps young students actively engaged. I highly recommend this as a foundational reader for dual-language classrooms and heritage programs!”

Teacher Grace Chen, Primary Chinese Immersion Educator
"Finally, a Chinese reader my child actually enjoys!"

“In an English-dominant environment, getting my 6-year-old excited about reading Chinese can be tough. This book completely changed that dynamic. The short, manageable lessons—like ‘Good Morning’ and ‘Breakfast’—relate directly to what my child experiences every single day.

The rhythmic text makes it easy to read aloud, and the clear bilingual layout gives my child confidence without feeling overwhelmed. It doesn’t read like a dry workbook; it feels like a sweet, comforting collection of daily stories. A wonderful tool for any family raising bilingual kids!”
